More Photos of Jennifer Rose

Here are a few more photos of our big day meeting Jennifer Rose. We are totally exhausted. In fact, R is asleep on the bed and J Ro (as R was calling her) is asleep in the crib. I need to put together some paperwork for tomorrow but I am just really happy. We know we still have a lot of mountains to climb but we just feel so wonderful to finally get to this point. We feel all of the love from all of our family and friends who have been waiting with us this past 2+ years. It is absolutely amazing. Ok - time to peek in on my two ladies. More later.

J.

Dear Jennifer Rose,

Tonight you are in the arms of your Mom and Dad for the first time. This is a magic moment for them, one they have been waiting for for a long time. We, your grandma and grandpa have also been waiting for you.

When grandma Theedie sees you, she will most likely sing songs and little poems to you. She can't help it because she used to sing songs and poems to little children in the library where she worked. Maybe she will sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." Maybe she will sing some songs that her own mother sang to her when she was a little girl just like you. She later sang these to her own little babies, your daddy and uncle Ben, when they were small. Some of these songs were in her own mom's language from a far away country. Theedie learned these songs because of the sounds of love in them. Soon you will learn lots of words in English, the language of all of our love for you.

And grandpa Oskie, he will teach you things. When you are a little older, he will tell you about shapes and numbers, and how to make things that whirl and move. Grandpa loves to teach, and he is a great teacher.

So hello, hello dear Jennifer Rose.

All if our love, and hugs also for your mom and dad who are bringing you home.

Grandma Theedie

Jennifer Rose is so beautiful and we are very, very happy for you and Joseph!!!! The photos of Beijing area are gorgeous -- we can't wait to see it in person. Saw your itinerary and we will be in Tokyo the SAME DAY. Our flight from Kennedy airport arrives 12:20pm and we leave for Beijing at 4:00. If you are going to be in the airport during that time we would love to see you both and meet Jennifer Rose!!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!
Mia asked to look at the computer first thing this morning to see pictures of the "beebee" with her new mommy and daddy. She then chanted Ro Ro Ro (for Rose) after seeing the photos. We are all ecstatic for you.
Love, Kate, Neil, and Mia

Mike here - Seriously, I think Holly is **almost** as happy for you three (key word being THREE) as you are yourself. Almost. On my own behalf - the pictures are absolutely great!! She is adorable, and one can feel the radiation of your beaming right through the screen! (Or is that the oven I left on in the kitchen... oh, cripes!!!)
God bless all of you, and Joe, keep on typing as you have time and energy - we'll keep on reading!
All of our love, Mike

Joseph...she is absolutely beautiful. Perfect, right? Puts everything in perspective; who really cares about trivial work issues...work comes and goes, being a father is forever. I am so happy to be able to share in this experience with you. Love and hugs to you and your two wonderful women/girls. Naomi

J, R, and J Ro (love the nick-names :-),

I am so thrilled that the three of you have finally found each other, and become the family you were meant to be. Here's to many years of laughter, tears, hugs, kisses, a few temper tantrums (to keep your parents in line), and few time outs (to keep the little lady in line). Here's to doting grandparents, thrilled friends and family, a little girl full of life and happiness, and exhausted parents (so much for sleeping the next 18years!)

With so much love and happiness - Lee
